A BIT ABOUT ME

About Me

After a long and varied career in the arts spanning 40+ years - I have acquired an eye for the decorative having the privilege of seeing items in their context. History is an exciting endeavour and a wonderful hobby which I am now turning into a new career. I love searching - researching pre-loved items. A small and seemingly insignificant item in my hands can transport me to Victorian England - down cobbled streets amid lamp-lighters and paperboys cries. My background is in theatre, arts and culinary endeavours - all art forms in their own right. My collection spans these disciplines. I hope like me that they will reward you - and continue their journey making you a part of their history.

My Ethos

When you receive a package all the materials will have been repurposed. I have resisted the temptation to buy new eco packaging and whilst this is more time consuming it does not require any more manufacturing processes - ergo kinder to the planet.

I have opted to ask Make it Wild to plant trees in an attempt to offset the Royal Mail deliveries that are not on foot and to ease my conscience. I do not drive and when I need to travel my friend transports me in her electric car . I am also supporting the bees because I honestly cannot believe at a time when we are clearly seeking to support the green agenda that there has not yet been a world wide ban on pesticides when there are viable alternatives available. We have lost 60% of our insects over the last 20years. It is attributed that Einstein said, “If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man.”
